## The rules per platform

These are the rules DunSocial enforces when you schedule, checked against its publishers:

## Where mixing works well

**X posts.** A clip plus two screenshots in one post works, as long as the total stays at 4 items.

## Where it fails, & what to do

The usual failure is one draft sent to a network that does not accept the mix. LinkedIn is the common one, since a draft with a screenshot & a clip is valid on X & Instagram but not there.

The fix is to split the media per network:

- **LinkedIn:** keep the images, or keep the video. Pick the one that carries the point.
- **Reddit:** attach one asset & put the rest in the post body or a comment.
- **Bluesky & Pinterest:** use a still image.

## Mixed media is getting more common

Buffer announced on October 7, 2026 that you can now schedule posts with images & videos together in the same post. The rules still differ by network, so the question is less whether a tool offers a mixed composer & more which networks will take the result.
