# How to connect a social media MCP server to Claude or ChatGPT

DunSocial is a hosted social media MCP server. Add its Streamable HTTP endpoint to Claude or ChatGPT, authorize one workspace with OAuth 2.1, and verify read-only state before creating or scheduling anything.

## What you will do

## Before you start

- An active DunSocial workspace with the intended social accounts already connected.

## Step by step

### 1. Open DunSocial MCP setup

In DunSocial, open Settings → MCP. The shared endpoint is `https://api.dunsocial.com/api/mcp`.

### 2. Add the connector

Create a custom MCP connector in Claude or ChatGPT and use a name that includes the workspace, such as “DunSocial · Acme”.

### 3. Authorize with OAuth

Complete the browser flow, select the intended workspace and review the requested permissions. Do not paste a PAT or password into chat.

### 4. Start read-only

Confirm identity and current state before asking the assistant to create content.

## Check before you finish

- The assistant names the correct DunSocial workspace and destination accounts.
