# How founders can connect DunSocial MCP to Claude or ChatGPT

If you already use Claude or ChatGPT to think through product decisions, connecting DunSocial lets the same conversation create drafts, inspect your queue and schedule approved posts. You do not need to paste a long-lived token into the chat.

DunSocial uses OAuth 2.1. Your assistant opens a browser page where you choose the startup workspace and approve access, and you can revoke that connection later.

## What you will do

## Before you start

- An active DunSocial workspace with the intended social accounts already connected.
- An MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP and OAuth, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Copilot Studio.
- A person who can review the final account, copy and time before publishing.

## Step by step

### 1. Open the MCP setup

In DunSocial, open your startup workspace and go to Settings → MCP. Choose the client you use. The shared server URL is `https://api.dunsocial.com/api/mcp`.

### 2. Add the connection

In Claude or ChatGPT, add a custom MCP connector and paste the server URL. Give it a clear name such as “DunSocial · Acme” so another workspace is hard to confuse with it.

### 3. Approve with OAuth

Follow the browser authorization screen, choose the startup workspace and review the requested permissions. No DunSocial password or PAT belongs in the connector configuration.

### 4. Run a safe first request

Begin by reading state, not changing it. Confirm that the accounts and queue match what you see in DunSocial.

> Name the DunSocial workspace you can access. List its connected social accounts and posts scheduled this week. Do not create or change anything.

## Check before you finish

- The assistant names the correct DunSocial workspace and destination accounts.
- Every factual claim comes from the source material or saved workspace memory.
- The final action, timezone and returned post or draft IDs are visible.
