## What MCP is

The [Model Context Protocol](https://modelcontextprotocol.io/docs/getting-started/intro) is an open standard that lets an AI assistant call tools on another service. A social media MCP server turns "schedule this for Tuesday at 9am" into real tool calls against your scheduler: list accounts, validate the post, schedule it. 3. **Verify the workspace.** Ask for a read-only list of connected accounts & the workspace name before drafting. A wrong workspace means a wrong brand calendar.
4. **Draft in your voice with memory.** The assistant can read your saved voice (personalization) & search AI Memory for product facts, so drafts start from what you told DunSocial once, not from a blank prompt.
5. **Validate.** `validate_post` dry-runs the same checks as scheduling & publishing, per destination account, without writing anything. If it returns issues, the assistant fixes them & validates again.
6. **Schedule with human confirmation.** The assistant shows copy, destinations, time & timezone. You confirm, then it calls `schedule_post`. Publish-now tools are flagged as requiring your interaction, & AI-written work waits for a human.
