## Setup (once)

Do these steps once. After that, the prompts below reuse the same DunSocial MCP connection.

### List your live Publer queue

Open Publer's calendar or queue view & note, for each upcoming post: network, scheduled date & time, body text, & whether it has media. A spreadsheet or a plain text list both work. Fifteen minutes covers most small queues. Doing this once by hand is still faster than rewriting every caption from scratch later.

### Start DunSocial & connect accounts

[Log in or start the trial](https://app.dunsocial.com/login), then connect your networks in the DunSocial app first. MCP needs those accounts in place before it can create drafts against the right channels.

### Connect DunSocial MCP

In DunSocial, open Settings → MCP & add `https://api.dunsocial.com/api/mcp`. Approve the workspace scopes. ### Save brand voice before you recreate anything

Set AI Memory & a Voice Preset before you paste your queue list in. The test prompt should prove voice & scheduling, not just that a draft appeared. It's what makes DunSocial drafts sound like you from the first post.

## Migration checklist

Work the list in order. The test step & the next-day check are what keep you from double-posts & gaps.

### 1. Turn your Publer list into Markdown

Save your Publer queue notes as one Markdown file per post (or one file with a clear list) in a folder like `./publer-export/`: network, scheduled time (ISO if you can), body text, & media notes or "needs re-upload." Don't delete or edit anything in Publer yet. You're only reading it.

### 2. Review the list (human gate)

Skim it. Keep, drop, or rewrite. This is the gate: you decide what's actually worth recreating before an assistant touches it, & it's a good moment to cut posts that no longer fit your voice.

### 3. Test the prompt (before the full queue)

Paste **Prompt A** below. It should create drafts for the first two posts only, match network & time as closely as DunSocial supports, & tell you what to open in the app. Do not publish yet. Review those drafts & confirm the schedule. If the test looks off, fix voice, media, or channel mapping before you scale it up.

### 4. Recreate the rest via DunSocial MCP

When the test looks good, paste **Prompt B**. Prefer draft plus schedule over publish-now. Attach media through DunSocial when a note alone isn't enough. Keep human confirmation on. Ask for a short summary of what it created & what it skipped.

### 5. Pick a handover date & avoid doubles

Choose a cutover day. New work lands in DunSocial from that point. Cancel or pause the matching Publer posts that should not fire. A short overlap is fine if you're deliberate about which calendar owns each post.

### 6. Check the next day

The morning after: open the DunSocial calendar (& Publer if it's still live). Confirm yesterday's test or early cutover posts went out once, previews matched, & nothing failed silently. Only then deepen the cutover.

### 7. Cancel Publer

## Common mistakes

- **Waiting for an automated Publer export.** Publer has no documented MCP to dump from; the one-time manual list above is the fastest path.
- **Skipping the test prompt** & pasting the whole queue blind.
- **Publishing from MCP** without human confirm. Keep confirm on until you trust the mapping.
- **Leaving the same post scheduled in Publer & DunSocial.** That's how you get doubles.
- **Cancelling Publer before the next-day check.** Let one day of posts go out from DunSocial first.

### Can I import my Publer queue automatically?
