# How to update your startup brand memory through MCP > Save startup facts, positioning and writing boundaries to DunSocial memory through MCP so future social drafts begin with better context. - Published: 2026-08-06 - Last updated: 2026-08-06 - Author: DunSocial - Topics: mcp, how-to --- Repeating your positioning in every prompt is tiring, and eventually one version drifts from another. DunSocial memory stores durable company facts that an assistant can search when it prepares future drafts. Memory is for stable context, not a place to dump every internal document. Save short entries you would be comfortable seeing influence public copy. Search phrases: update brand memory with MCP, DunSocial AI memory, startup brand context AI, save company facts in MCP, AI social media brand voice. ## What you will do - Create a focused memory collection. - Save verifiable company facts and writing boundaries. - Search the saved context before relying on it in a draft. ## Before you start - An active DunSocial workspace with the intended social accounts already connected. - An MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP and OAuth, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Copilot Studio. - A person who can review the final account, copy and time before publishing. ## Step by step ### 1. Decide what should persist Good entries include the audience, product definition, approved positioning, preferred product names and banned phrases. Keep temporary launch dates and private customer details elsewhere. ### 2. Create or choose a collection Ask MCP to list memory collections. Reuse a clear collection such as “Company context,” or create one if no suitable collection exists. ### 3. Save small entries One fact per memory is easier to retrieve and update than a pasted brand book. Ask the assistant to show the proposed entries before saving them. > Turn these approved notes into short, standalone memory entries. Show me the entries first. After I approve, save them to the Company context collection. ### 4. Test retrieval Search memory with a realistic future question. If an outdated entry appears, update or delete it instead of layering a contradictory memory on top. > Search our memory for who the product is for, how we describe it, and words we avoid. Return the matching entries and collection names. ## Check before you finish - The assistant names the correct DunSocial workspace and destination accounts. - Every factual claim comes from the source material or saved workspace memory. - The final action, timezone and returned post or draft IDs are visible. ## Where to go next Use the product-update drafting guide and ask the assistant to show which memories it used before it creates the post. --- ## About this document This is the Markdown representation of https://www.dunsocial.com/blog/update-startup-brand-memory-with-dunsocial-mcp.
