Webhooks

Set up DunSocial webhooks to notify your own systems when something happens, like a post publishing, so you can build custom automations around it.

Webhooks let DunSocial notify your own systems when something happens, such as a post publishing. This is aimed at developers who want to build custom automations.

Set up a webhook

  1. Open Settings, then Webhooks.
  2. Add a new endpoint.
  3. Enter a name and the URL where events should be sent.
  4. Choose which events you want to receive.
  5. Save. Make sure the endpoint is enabled.

Security

Each endpoint has a secret. Use it to verify that incoming requests really came from DunSocial via X-DunSocial-Signature (v1= HMAC-SHA256 of {timestamp}.{rawBody}). Full header list and verify steps: API webhooks.

Deliveries

You can see a log of delivery attempts for each endpoint, including:

  • The event type.
  • The delivery status.
  • How many attempts were made.
  • The last response code and any error.

Tip

If deliveries are failing, check that your URL is reachable and returns a success response. You can review the error details in the delivery log.
