DunSocial is an AI-first social media scheduler for planning, writing, previewing, scheduling and publishing from one workspace. It supports eight social networks, keeps reusable brand context in AI Memory and Voice Presets, and can also be used from Slack, an MCP-compatible assistant or the DunSocial CLI. ### Who is DunSocial built for? DunSocial is built for founders, creators, agencies, developers and small marketing teams that publish across several networks. Solo users can keep a consistent voice without rewriting every post, while teams can share workspaces, connected accounts, memory, media and a content calendar. ### How quickly can I start publishing? Create an account, connect a social profile and compose your first post. The 14-day trial unlocks every feature and does not require a credit card, so you can test the complete workflow before subscribing. ### Can I write and schedule posts without using AI? Yes. You can compose manually, create platform-specific versions, preview posts, manage media and schedule from the calendar. AI writing, research, voice and memory are available when they help, but they are not required to use the publishing workflow. ### Can I manage more than one brand from the same account? Yes. One login can belong to multiple focused workspaces, and each workspace can connect one account per social platform. Create a separate workspace for each additional account or brand so its team members, AI Memory, Voice Presets, media and publishing calendar stay organized around that identity. ## Pricing & billing Plans, seats, trials and payment. ### How much does DunSocial cost? DunSocial has one plan at $20 per month or $192 per year. The base price includes one seat, every feature, all supported networks and unlimited scheduled posts. ### What can I try during the free trial? The 14-day trial unlocks the complete product: multi-platform publishing, AI generation, Voice Presets, AI Memory, the calendar, media gallery, workspaces, MCP, CLI and integrations. No credit card is required to begin. ### Are MCP, the CLI and AI features included in the plan? Yes. There are no separate feature tiers or integration add-ons. The hosted MCP server, DunSocial CLI, AI writing, Voice Presets, AI Memory, Daily Ideas, media gallery and every supported social network are included in the same plan. ### How does pricing work for a team? The base plan includes one seat. Each additional team member is $8 per month, or $77 per year on annual billing. Every seat works in the same shared workspace and gets the same product features. ### What do I save with annual billing? Annual billing is $192 per year, which saves 20% compared with twelve monthly payments. Additional seats are $77 per year each instead of $8 per month. ### Can I cancel my subscription whenever I need to? Yes. Subscription management lives in workspace settings, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You can return to the same workspace later without rebuilding your brand memory, drafts or connected workflow. ## Platforms & publishing Supported networks, threads, images and video. ### Which social networks can DunSocial publish to? DunSocial publishes to X, LinkedIn profiles and Company Pages, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, Reddit, Pinterest and YouTube Shorts. All eight networks live in the same composer and content calendar. ### Can one idea become different posts for each network? Yes. Add several destinations to one draft, then keep a separate editable version for each platform. DunSocial can reshape the copy for each network, and you can review every version instead of sending identical text everywhere. ### Can I preview platform formatting before a post goes live? Yes. The composer shows a platform-native preview alongside character counts, media requirements and network-specific readiness checks. That makes it easier to catch a long caption, missing media or an incomplete platform field before scheduling. ### Can I publish images, carousels and short-form video? Yes. DunSocial supports the media formats available in its platform composers, including image posts, Instagram carousels and Reels, Threads media, Reddit media, Pinterest image Pins and YouTube Shorts. Uploaded assets stay in the media gallery for reuse. ### Can DunSocial schedule complete X threads? Yes. Compose and preview an X thread of up to 25 posts, schedule it once, and DunSocial publishes the chain in order. Threads can also be created through MCP or the CLI. ### How does smart scheduling choose a time? DunSocial can suggest times from your own engagement heatmap, so recommendations reflect when your audience has interacted with your posts. Optional natural-posting randomization can shift the exact minute slightly while keeping the post inside the time window you chose. ### How will I know what happened after a scheduled post runs? Published, scheduled and failed states are visible in the content calendar. You can enable email notifications for publishing outcomes and use workspace webhooks for post scheduled, published and publish-failed events when another system needs the update. ### Can my team reuse the same media across campaigns? Yes. The workspace media gallery keeps uploaded images and videos in one shared library with usage tracking. A team can attach the same approved asset to new drafts without uploading it again. ## AI & brand voice How the AI learns your tone and writes for you. ### How does DunSocial learn my brand voice? Voice Presets store reusable ways of writing, while AI Memory stores brand facts, preferences, positioning and words you use or avoid. DunSocial retrieves the relevant memory for a draft and writes through the selected voice instead of starting from a blank prompt. ### What is the difference between AI Memory and a Voice Preset? AI Memory holds what the brand knows: product facts, audience context, opinions and guidelines. A Voice Preset defines how a post should sound. You can combine the same memory with different voices, such as a founder voice and a company voice. ### Can I keep multiple voices for one workspace? Yes. Voice Presets are reusable and switchable, so one workspace can keep distinct founder, product, community or campaign voices while drawing from the same verified brand memory. ### Can I turn a spoken idea into a ready-to-edit post? Yes. Voice-to-post transcribes your recording and turns it into a draft shaped by the selected voice and relevant memory. You can edit the result, create platform-specific versions and schedule it from the same composer. ### How does DunSocial help when I do not know what to post? Daily Ideas creates starting points from your saved expertise and brand context. You can also paste a URL for analysis or use live web research while drafting, then turn the useful angle into a post instead of beginning with an empty editor. ### Can a whole team write with the same brand context? Yes. AI Memory and Voice Presets belong to the workspace, so teammates can draft from the same facts and writing rules. That shared context keeps output consistent even when several people contribute. ## MCP & integrations Using DunSocial from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and the CLI. ### Can I use DunSocial from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor? Yes. DunSocial has a hosted MCP server with 43 tools for posts, drafts, memory, media and workspaces. It works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Cline, Continue and other MCP-compatible clients. ### What can an assistant do through the DunSocial MCP server? An assistant can inspect connected accounts, create and update drafts, search or save brand memory, upload and reuse media, schedule posts, publish immediately, manage X threads and work with platform-specific fields for Reddit, Instagram and Pinterest. ### How do I connect an MCP client? Add https://api.dunsocial.com/api/mcp as a custom MCP connector. Your client opens DunSocial, where you choose a workspace and approve access; the client then manages the OAuth connection and refreshes it automatically. ### Can I control what an AI assistant is allowed to do? Yes. MCP authorization uses scoped access for reading the workspace, writing drafts, scheduling, publishing, memory, media and destructive actions. The connection is bound to the workspace you approve and can be revoked from settings. ### Can I create posts directly from Slack conversations? Yes. Connect Slack in workspace settings and mention DunSocial in a channel to turn conversation context into drafts, work with uploaded media and continue the publishing workflow without retyping the idea in another tool. ### Is there a command-line interface for DunSocial? Yes. Install the dunsocial package from npm and use either the dun or dunsocial command. The CLI can manage posts and drafts from a terminal, local agent or CI job, and everything appears in the same DunSocial workspace and calendar. ### Can I announce a release automatically from CI? Yes. Create a workspace-bound Personal Access Token, store it as a CI secret and call the DunSocial CLI from your release workflow. JSON output, stable exit codes and non-interactive authentication make the command suitable for automation. ## Teams & security Workspaces, roles, data ownership and limits. ### Can my team plan and publish together? Yes. Invite teammates into a shared workspace to work with the same connected accounts, drafts, calendar, media, AI Memory and Voice Presets. The workspace keeps the publishing context together instead of spreading it across personal tools. ### What workspace roles are available? DunSocial has owner, admin and member roles. Everyone can create content with workspace accounts; admins can also manage social accounts, billing and invitations, while the owner can change roles, transfer ownership and close the workspace. ### Can an agency keep each client workspace separate? Yes. Connected accounts, members, media, AI Memory and Voice Presets are scoped to a workspace. A client invited to one workspace sees that brand’s content without gaining access to another client. ### Who owns the posts and brand content I add? You do. Posts, drafts, memories and media remain part of your workspace, and authorized workspace members control who can view or change them. DunSocial does not sell your content or brand data. ### How are connected social account tokens protected? Social OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and refreshed on platform-specific schedules. Access is scoped to the workspace and only used for the publishing actions you request. ### Can I transfer a workspace to another owner? Yes. The current owner can transfer ownership to an active workspace member from team settings. The new owner takes control of billing and owner-only settings, while the previous owner remains an admin. ## About this document This is the Markdown representation of https://www.dunsocial.com/faq.
